Saturday Night Live honors Betty White with rebroadcast of classic episode

The world is mourning the death of beloved Golden Girls actor Betty White, who died Dec. 31 at the age of 99, according to her friend and agent Jeff Witjas. She was weeks away from celebrating her 100th birthday.

Saturday Night Live paid its respects to White last Saturday (Jan. 1) by rebroadcasting the episode she previously hosted. The episode originally aired May 8, 2010, with White at the age of 88. She appeared in every single sketch, and JAY-Z served as the evening’s musical guest. Watch a clip of White’s iconic SNL performance here.

A documentary to celebrate White turning 100 was also set to air on her birthday, Jan. 17, with the title Betty White: 100 Years Young.
