'Bill And Ted 3' set for February production, still working on financing

Well Bill And Ted fans, we have some pretty excellent news…

Despite Keanu Reeves previous doubts on Bill and Ted going on a third adventure, it appears that Reeves’ co-star Alex Winter and director Ed Solomon are a bit more optimistic about the film’s production.

In case you missed it, Reeves recently sat with Yahoo where he shared that financial agreements and other “show business” logistics were preventing the movie from moving forward.

While the news was pretty bogus, in a new series of tweets by both Winter and Solomon, the pair believes that the film is still set to happen…with a production start date scheduled for February of 2019.

When replying to a fan, Solomon shared that they are “still closing deals between the financers and MGM.” Which, as we know, has been a set back for the film in years past.

Winter then took to Twitter to also chime in on the matter, backing Solomon up that the setback was only “standard” movie misfortunes.

We’re beyond stoked that Bill and Ted won’t be going on another bogus journey.

There’s little information known about the forthcoming movie, but we do know that it’s set to be called Bill & Ted Face The Music. While we’re not sure of all of the details of the new film, we do have some idea of what to expect from this new journey.

Per the Hollywood Reporter, the film will see original creators Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon joining forces with Reeves and Winter for another excellent adventure.

Read the official synopsis below:

Bill & Ted Face The Music will see the duo long past their days as time-travelling teenagers and now weighed down by middle age and the responsibilities of family. They’ve written thousands of tunes, but they have yet to write a good one, much less the greatest song ever written. With the fabric of time and space tearing around them, a visitor from the future warns our heroes that only their song can save life as we know it.

Out of luck and fresh out of inspiration, Bill and Ted set out on a time travel adventure to seek the song that will set their world right and bring harmony in the universe as we know it. Together with the aid of their daughters, a new crop of historical figures, and some sympathetic music legends, they find much, much more than just a song.

With things still being worked out, we’re not entirely sure what to expect to see from Theodore “Ted” Logan and Bill S. Preston Esq, but we’re pretty stoked to find out.
