Joan Jett, Evanescence donate items for 'Girls Rock' auction

Billie Eilish, Joan Jett, Evanescence and many more artists are donating instruments, signed memorabilia and other items to be part of the Girls Rock Reverb Gives auction.

The auction, which will last a week, starts May 21 on the Girls Rock Reverb site. Proceeds will benefit 10 nonprofit organizations that focus on empowering female, transgender and gender nonconforming youth by using music.

Besides this list, many other record companies and organizations donated items to auction.

Some of the stand-out items for auction include Eilish’s signed Fender ukulele and an Epihone amplifier owned by Tegan and Sara. Also, Nicks will have an autographer Sennheiser microphone up for sale.

Besides the items mentioned, Girls Rock Reverb Gives will feature concert tickets and experiences for artists such as Pink.

The organizations benefitted by the sale are as followed: Bay Area Girls Rock Camp, Girls Rock Columbia, Girls Rock Philly, Ohama Girls Rock, Rock n’ Roll Camp for Girls Salt Lake City, ATEM (Arts Transform Empower Music) in Berlin, Girls Rock Dublin, Girls Rock London, Sweden’s Popkollo and Femix in Belgrade, Serbia.

Last year, a similar auction held by the same initiative raised more than $20,000 for the Girls Rock Camp Alliance.
