Billie Eilish set to release two new songs, music video soon

Billie Eilish has been riding the wave of popularity she caught from her debut album for a little while now, but she’s confirmed there will be new material soon.

The musician says in an Instagram story video she posted over the weekend there will be two new tracks coming shortly as well as a new music video for her track “Xanny.”

“Yes, the ‘Xanny’ music video is coming,” Eilish confirmed in the video. “Yes, I have two unreleased songs that are coming that you haven’t heard any of. Be patient, damn!”

The musician didn’t give a timeline for the new songs or video but it’ll probably be sooner than you would think.

According to Uproxx, Eilish and her brother and collaborator Finneas have been plugging away at work on brand new songs for a while at this point. “We’re deep into the creative process on new material for sure,” Finneas said to Apple Music’s Zane Lowe last month.

More on Billie Eilish

In the latest issue of Rolling Stone magazine, Green Day vocalist Billie Joe Armstrong sits down with Billie Eilish for a special “Musicians on Musicians” issue.

Getting the rare opportunity to interview each other, Eilish shows her love of Armstrong’s band while he shares his admiration for the 17-year-old musician’s music.

Despite the iconic 1994 album Dookie coming out seven years before Eilish was born, the record still holds her favorite Green Day track, “All By Myself.”

She says she has been listening to Green Day since she was nine, thanks largely to her brother who was a massive fan. You can read more on that here.
