It's been nearly four years since Black Mirror graced our screens and introduced the world to Ashley O with its fifth installment — but the wait for more twisted tales about technology won't be too much longer.

Netflix's hit sci-fi thriller series from Charlie Brooker is officially coming back for Season 6, due out this June. Today, the streamer dropped the teaser for Black Mirror Season 6 — which looks as eerie, dysfunctional, and surprising as ever, featuring what looks like stories aboard a space ship, set in a Twin Peaks-like world, and more than a few new characters losing their minds.

As always, the season introduces a new cast of characters and an A-list ensemble, some of which you can catch a glimpse of in the trailer. This time around, Zazie Beetz, Rory Culkin, Michael Cera, Paapa Essiedu, Josh Hartnett, Myha’la Herrold,Kate Mara, Annie Murphy, Himesh Patel, Salma Hayek Pinault, and many others are among the cast.

Black Mirror has taken on different forms in the past — delving into thoughtful, time-spanning love stories, disturbing sci-fi-horror, and even choose-your-own-adventure spin-offs — and this season is said to be more innovative than ever. Brooker spoke to Netflix's Tudum about what to expect, saying, "I’ve always felt that Black Mirror should feature stories that are entirely distinct from one another, and keep surprising people — and myself — or else what’s the point?"

He explained that he thought about how to reinvent the series this time around and added, "I began this season by deliberately upending some of my own core assumptions about what to expect. Consequently, this time, alongside some of the more familiar ‘Black Mirror’ tropes we’ve also got a few new elements, including some I’ve previously sworn blind the show would never do, to stretch the parameters of what ‘a Black Mirror episode’ even is.”
