Black Veil Brides' Jinxx offers an update on his coronavirus diagnosis
Earlier this month, Black Veil Brides guitarist Jinxx (Jeremy Ferguson) confirmed that he has tested positive for coronavirus.
Now, he has offered an update to fans on his diagnosis and the condition of his family including wife Alice Mogg and son Lennon.

On Nov. 18, Jinxx revealed that he began feeling unwell over the weekend and decided to take his family to get coronavirus tested as soon as the symptoms began. His family tested negative, but his results came back with a positive detection of coronavirus. Both his wife Alice and newborn son Lennon have also tested negative.
Jinxx further shared that he is quarantining separately from his family. As well, he has experienced COVID-19 symptoms including loss of smell and taste, fever and cough.
“I just wanted to say to everyone to continue to stay safe and PLEASE wear a mask! No matter how annoying it is,” he said. “And take this seriously. This is no hoax and cases are spiking everywhere, and no one is immune. And just because you got a negative result doesn’t make you immune or mean you may not have just contracted it. So be cautious and maybe think twice about travel and gathering plans over the holidays.”

Now, Jinxx has offered an update on the current state of his health since contracting COVID-19. As well, he confirms that his mother has also tested positive for the virus.
“Thank you all for the outpouring of well wishes I received while I’ve been hunkered down with COVID,” he says. “Little update on my condition, today is the first day I don’t feel like absolute death, although I still can’t smell or taste anything and my brain is still a little foggy. I’m not quite 100%, but I have some energy back and I’m excited because the Department of Health says that I can come out of quarantine tomorrow for Thanksgiving.”
Although he is still dealing with the symptoms of COVID, he is looking forward to being reunited with this family again.
“Even though I won’t be able to taste any of the food, I get to hold my wife and son again after a week and a half of not being able to and I’m extremely grateful for that,” he says.

With Thanksgiving this week, Jinxx is also reminding his followers about gathering with others during the holidays.
“Though I appreciate the good wishes, I’m not sharing my story for sympathy as much as a warning, especially a day before people are most likely gathering with people outside of their household despite CDC guidelines advising not to,” he says. “Having a newborn in our lives, we thought we had been super extra careful following all the protocols and yet @mommajinxx and I still got it. So be safe out there, stay home if you can, FaceTime and Zoom exist! Be courteous to your family and the rest of the world, let’s try to avoid any more people getting sick!”

Just last month, Jinxx and Alice welcome their first child together – Lennon River. The couple confirmed the arrival of their baby boy in a heartwarming Instagram post.

Earlier this month, Black Veil Brides unveiled “Scarlet Cross,” the first single from their upcoming concept album The Phantom Tomorrow. The new LP is set to arrive sometime in 2021 and follows the story of the antihero The Blackbird and a group of societal outcasts known as the “The Phantom Tomorrow.”
Following its release, “Scarlett Cross” went on to debut at No.4 on Billboard‘s Hard Rock Sales chart.
