See the new cover art for Black Veil Brides’ debut album re-recording
It looks like BVB fans have another thing to celebrate on International Black Veil Brides Day this year. The fan-sanctioned holiday brings together the community each year on the anniversary of the release of their first music video for “Knives And Pens.”
This year, however, the band have unveiled the artwork for the highly anticipated re-recording of their debut album We Stitch These Wounds, which turns 10 in July.

In late 2019, Black Veil Brides announced bassist Lonny Eagleton, who had toured with Andy Biersack on his Ghost Of Ohio tour, would be joining the ranks. The band chatted with AltPress for an exclusive interview detailing Eagleton’s history as a fan, the group’s plan for new music and the re-recording for We Stitch These Wounds.
Touching on their plan to release “duologies,” Biersack opened up on the nostalgic feeling behind The Night, which houses “The Vengeance” and “Saints Of The Blood,” and the debut album re-recording.
“With the feeling of nostalgia on this [duology], going back into the time when we were doing the rerecord [of We Stitch These Wounds], the idea was to add two songs that felt very much like the band that we were in the past and maybe strayed away from [and] returning to that form. Moving forward, we want to keep doing that where we have different records and elements and stuff, and there’s a whole plan that I won’t give away yet.

“Quite honestly, when you’ve been a band as long as we have and put out five full-length records, EPs and everything else, you want to do new stuff,” Biersack continues. “I think this is a model that we’re really excited about, and moving forward, it’s a sustainable model that we can do, something that allows us to write songs together and release music, do music videos and artwork, bring it to people and say, ‘This is the new thing.’ And then half a year later, there’s another new thing.”
Biersack teased a pending update on Re-Stich These Wounds late last month along with the news they were already in production on their sixth album.
Now, the band are unveiling the cover art for the upcoming re-recording as well as the release date. If you head to restitchthesewounds.com, the band have started a countdown to the release on June 26 at midnight EST.
And while the original album featured Biersack, the band worked with illustrator Luca Solo Macello to reimagine the art. You can see that below.

In addition to The Night duology that dropped in 2019, the band recently released a cover of Bruce Springsteen’s “American Skin (41 Shots)” to show their support of Black Lives Matter. Springsteen’s original track was written about the wrongful death of Amadou Diallo at the hands of NYC police in 1999. You can listen to it here.
