While the spoiler ban for Avengers: Endgame has long been lifted, I'm going to warn you right now that if you are still attempting to avoid any and all spoilers for the most recent Marvel film, then turn away now. The long-awaited Black Widow movie appears to be underway, with leaked set photos sparking a whole new round of rumors for the future of the MCU.

We have so many questions.

A batch of leaked set photos from what fans are assuming is the forthcoming, not-yet-announced Black Widow movie have made their way to the internet, stirring up quite a bit of frenzy.

Marvel has not yet announced that the film is underway, with President Kevin Feige telling comicbook.com that we shouldn't expect an announcement until after the next Spider-Man film.

"As we've been doing for years, we aren't going to announce anything post Avengers: Endgame or Spider-Man [Far From Home] until post Endgame and Spider-Man. As you know as a fan, there's a tremendous amount of potential and a tremendous amount of additional characters and storylines and groups of characters that we're going to keep playing with. And again, that's a testament to Marvel and to the amount of storylines and characters and amazing, amazing runs that have been in the Marvel comics."

While there's no official confirmation, leaked set photos of Scarlett Johansson have suggested filming is already underway.

As you may recall, Black Widow died during Endgame while retrieving the Soul Stone from Vormir in 2023. This suggests that the forthcoming film will act as a prequel, giving us insight into Black Widow's backstory.

However, one leaked set photo in particular has sparked the rumor that maybe Black Widow isn't really dead after all.

In the photo we see our hero emerging from a lake with some sort of red, glowing artifact in her hands. Some fans believe it to be one of the Infinity Stones, theorizing that perhaps Captain America went back and resurrected Natasha Romanoff using the Reality Stone.

Could Romanoff make her return to the MCU after all?
