blink-182 EP set to drop after album with pending release date

blink-182 are slated to drop their highly anticipated album, and although we still don’t have an official release date, it looks like the band may be giving us something else to look forward to this year.

In a recent interview with Kerwin Frost, drummer Travis Barker revealed blink’s plan to release an EP following the album.

During the interview, Barker shares that the song they recorded with Lil Uzi Vert and Pharrell Williams would not be appearing on the forthcoming album.

Instead, the song will be released on an EP the blink plan to drop later this year.

“It’s not gonna come out on the album – it’s gonna come out probably on the EP that comes later this year,” Barker says in the interview. “But blink just did a song with [Lil] Uzi [Vert], that’s the most mind-blowing thing ever – with Pharrell.

So you have these things now where like, where Uzi is out at Pharrell’s studio and he’s like ‘yo I just did this song with blink’, so Uzi is like ‘I gotta get on that’. So it’s almost coming full circle, but maybe it’s not coming full circle in rock – it’s actually affecting a whole other genre of music.”
