blink-182 are replacing Frank Ocean at Coachella 2023 weekend 2

blink-182 have confirmed that they will replace Frank Ocean at Coachella weekend 2, who dropped out as a headliner after undergoing a leg injury during the first week of the festival.

Ocean’s long-awaited headlining performance last Sunday was marked by confusion and disaster. Though it was his first live show since 2017, as he was originally scheduled to headline the event in 2020 prior to the pandemic, it left many of his fans disappointed and hopeful for a better run during the second weekend. But due to two fractures and a sprain in his leg, he will not perform.

“It was chaotic. There is some beauty in chaos. It isn’t what I intended to show, but I enjoy being out there, and I’ll see you soon,” Ocean said in a statement.

The pop-punk trio, however, sparked a ton of excitement this past weekend after being a last-minute addition to the Coachella lineup. Last Friday, the band ran through beloved hits such as “The Rock Show,” “I Miss You,” “Aliens Exist,” and “Dammit,” among many others, and their set signaled the first time Mark Hoppus, Travis Barker, and Tom DeLonge performed together since 2014.
