Listen to Blondshell’s searing cover of the Cranberries' deep cut “Disappointment”

With the release of her self-titled debut album nearing closer, Blondshell (Sabrina Teitelbaum) has shared a cover of a Cranberries deep cut, “Disappointment.”

The track yet again cements her love for the ’90s, with piercing guitars, distortion, and her use of quiet-loud dynamics that make her music so mesmerizing.

Blondshell recently concluded a sold-out run with Suki Waterhouse, where she played the cover nightly, as well as cuts from her forthcoming debut record (out April 7 via Partisan).

“I wanted to sing a song off of No Need To Argue, which is one of my favorite albums ever,” she says in a press release. “Dolores’ voice carries so much emotion throughout the entire album, not just on the big hits like ‘Zombie,’ but on the more understated songs as well. ‘Disappointment’ hits me so hard because it feels like heartbreak disguised as apathy. I wanted to sing the song how I heard it, with the intensity of the pain behind those airy, relaxed vocals and drums.”

Additionally, Blondshell will head out on her first-ever headline tour this summer, supported by Hello Mary. Kicking off July 7 in Portland, she’ll make stops in Chicago, Montreal, NYC, and Atlanta, among other cities. She’s also set to perform at several festivals this year, including SXSW, The Great Escape, London Calling, Wide Awake Festival, and Primavera Sound.
