Born Of Osiris cancel tour after Volumes drop off to focus on mental health
The band posted a lengthy message on their social media accounts saying they understand and respect the decisions, highlighting Volumes' need to focus on themselves right now.
"We just received news from Volumes that they won't be able to do our UK/EU tour next month. We love our brothers in Volumes and we understand and respect their decision wholeheartedly. Their mental health is absolutely what is most important in this difficult time. With both Oceans Ate Alaska and Volumes having to withdraw, we are forced to postpone this tour."
Volumes recently experienced some lineup changes with vocalist Michael Barr re-joining the band and co-vocalist Gus Farias as well as his brother and guitarist Diego departing. Just a few days after the announcement, Diego Farias tragically passed away.
As a founding member of Volumes, Diego had been with the band since they began in 2009. Gus Farias acknowledged his brothers alleged passing Feb. 6 just after 5 a.m. ET.
The band put out a statement later that day which you can see below.
“We are absolutely devastated by the tragic passing of Diego Farias We are trying to cope and process this as it all seems so surreal. We send our love and thoughts to his brothers Gus and Andres, his mother and father, and his entire extended family.“As we collect our thoughts, we will then be able to properly convey them more, but for now…we love you Diego, rest in power. –Volumes”
