See boygenius play a secret show in an airport baggage claim for SXSW

boygenius — the trio of Lucy Dacus, Phoebe Bridgers, and Julien Baker — have been busy gearing up for their debut full-length, the record (out March 31 via Interscope). But that hasn’t stopped the band from doling out a surprise or two.

Visitors arriving in Austin for this year’s SXSW received a wholesome offering from the indie favorites, who greeted them at the airport’s baggage claim with an acoustic set. According to the setlist, the trio performed a few songs off their forthcoming album, including “True Blue,” “Emily I’m Sorry,” and “Not Strong Enough.”

Earlier this month, boygenius played their first show of the year at the Tibet House Benefit at Carnegie Hall. The group are also set to play Coachella in April, and this summer, they’ll embark on the Re:SET Concert Series with Clairo, Dijon, and Bartees Strange. You can grab tickets here.
