Canadian post-hardcore band Boys Night Out have released a teaser video for their comeback EP, Black Dogs. This should come as a sigh of relief for those missing BNO after their indefinite hiatus, which came shortly after the release of their self-titled third LP in 2007.

“The title Black Dogs is a metaphor for pain, addiction, depression. It follows a concept that those negative aspects of the psyche are separate from the individual, and are carried around as an external being or unwanted friend—a black dog,” offered guitarist Jeff Davis.

Six new songs (likely one heard in the clip) will be released this spring on vinyl via Good Fight Entertainment (successor label to Ferret Music, BNO's former home). The EP was engineered and mixed by Derek Hoffman (Seaway, Stick To Your Guns) at Fox Sounds in Toronto, and mastered by Alan Douches (Brand New, Saves The Day, the Promise Ring) at West West Side.
