10 covers we need to hear Brendon Urie take on next
The amazingly talented Panic! At The Disco frontman Brendon Urie has an impeccable vocal range and immense charm, making him capable of pulling off a wide array of hits, from the classic-rock era to modern pop tracks topping the charts.
While he’s already covered the likes of Frank Sinatra all the way to Halsey, many of us would love to see more of Urie’s skills put to work to tackle some of the most iconic songs in music history. Here are just 10 covers we know he could recreate perfectly.

1. Queen – “Somebody To Love”
Urie has already proved he has the chops to cover Queen over the years. In fact, you may remember he performed a stunning rendition of “Bohemian Rhapsody” at the 2015 APMAs. Recently, he also took on “Under Pressure” on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and the Roots. The theatrical vocals of “Somebody To Love” would fit Urie’s style perfectly and craft a dynamic performance sure to make Adam Lambert or Freddie Mercury proud.
2. Nirvana – “Come As You Are”
Urie and guitarist Jake Sinclair shared a brief video of the duo performing “Smells Like Teen Spirit” years ago. The Panic! At The Disco frontman who loves to belt has the range to go low and make a grungy, growly voice suitable for the legendary Nirvana track “Come As You Are.”
3. Harry Styles – “Adore You”
Harry Styles and Urie are both fashion icons and singers with out-of-this-world talent. Urie could undertake the smash hit with the raw sex appeal and powerful vocals to carry out this cover without scathing reviews from the Styles and One Direction fanbases.

4. Whitney Houston – “I Will Always Love You”
You know exactly why Urie could pull off this song well. Whitney Houston shares one of the most iconic sustained high notes in this famous track. Undoubtedly, Urie has the lung capacity for this. He even tackled “I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me)” in a Twitch stream as well.
5. Ariana Grande – “Dangerous Woman”
Global pop sensation Ariana Grande is a fabulous belter with astounding control over her voice. Urie could hit the drawn-out high notes with a sultry voice just like Grande. Plus, he probably wouldn’t change the gendered lyrics of the song.

6. Prince – “Kiss”
Like Prince, Urie also dances and sings to the beat of his own drum. He would be able to replicate the cadence of “Kiss” as well as keep those high notes in check. Urie may not be able to pull off the iconic Prince splits, though. Thankfully, no one’s asking him to drop to the floor onstage.
7. Justin Timberlake – “Suit & Tie”
Justin Timberlake and Urie both love jazz influences in their songs. After all, Urie is a huge fan of Sinatra and even covered a few of his classic tunes. He could take this horn-filled JT track and bring all the swagger and charisma needed to make it sparkle. Plus, everyone knows Urie looks great in a suit and tie.

8. Michael Jackson – “Beat It”
It comes as no surprise that a few scene musicians have paid homage to the “King Of Pop.” Even Fall Out Boy and John Mayer covered “Beat It” by Michael Jackson. In 2011, Panic! At The Disco took on “Billie Jean,” and they refreshed the hit song with a bit more edge. It would be cool to see that same rock aggression channeled into “Beat It” with that signature P!ATD sound.

Steven Tyler and Urie are both rock stars from different eras. However, Urie can manifest the loud and screechy vocals perfectly to give new life to this well-known Aerosmith track while keeping its classic-rock integrity.
10. Radiohead – “High And Dry”
Longtime Panic! fans know that Urie is a huge Radiohead fan, having covered “Karma Police” and “Creep” in previous performances. Let’s keep the ball rolling and see if we can get a rendition of their amazing hit “High And Dry.”
