Amid the entertaining and downright exciting studio footage the band have been releasing, frontman Oli Sykes revealed they’re working on four different albums. Set to drop over the next 12 months, all four will be grouped into the album Post Human.

The first release will include “Parasite Eve” and “Ludens.” Post Human also marks Bring Me The Horizon’s return to heavier music, which we’re all definitely pumped about.

In honor of the new release, and more to come, we wanted to test your knowledge of the band’s latest track. See how well you know the lyrics to “Parasite Eve” by BMTH below.

More on Bring Me The Horizon

For the “Parasite Eve” video, Sykes took inspiration from some of his favorite video games and films. Using masks a friend of his created, each member filmed their video parts separately. This was an effort to stay within the social distancing restrictions set in place. Due to the lockdown restrictions, Bring Me The Horizon filmed the video with minimal crew and minimal resources.

“They’ll each be tonally different with their own sound and mood,” he continues. “That’s one thing we’ve never really done. There’s often been an overarching theme on our records, but the music has always felt like a collage. That’s cool, and I like it, but sometimes you want a soundtrack for a certain occasion and emotion.”

The concept of Post Human revolves around people taking responsibility for their actions before the future is gone forever.

“The idea behind Post Human is looking at how we’ve stepped out of evolution and the food chain,” he says. “If we can do that, then we can take responsibility for what we’ve done to the planet and become something better than what humans are right now.”

BMTH fans were originally going to hear the new single June 10. However, the band decided to postpone its initial release in solidarity of Black Lives Matter.
