It’s been nearly seven years since Bring Me The Horizon released Sempiternal as we quickly approach its April 1 anniversary. The fourth full-length produced hard-hitting singles “Can You Feel My Heart,” “Go To Hell, For Heaven’s Sake” and “Sleepwalking.” However, none have quite stood the test of time like the first song released from the album, “Shadow Moses.”

Bring Me The Horizon have been keeping busy since the release of their full-length amo in 2019. With lead single “MANTRA” followed by “wonderful life” featuring Dani Filth, “medicine” and “mother tongue” dropping ahead of the album, their sixth LP was finally released in January that year.
With the album out in the world, BMTH highlighted Grimes collab “nihilist blues” next followed by “sugar honey ice & tea.” In October, the band recruited metal-loving Black Panther star Forest Whitaker for a video for “in the dark,” marking their most recent off the record.
Soon after, BMTH released their time-crunch of a new song “Ludens” off the video game soundtrack for Death Stranding: Timefall followed by a music video.

In December, Halsey gave some more insight into her Bring Me The Horizon collab that was teased heavily over the summer. While it wasn’t landing on her own third full-length, Manic, the vocalist teased that more than one matchup would be arriving soon.
“OK, the Bring Me The Horizon song,” Halsey begins in an Instagram Live. “I knew you guys were going to ask about that. It’s not on this album, but there’s two—well, technically ‘two’ things. One and then something else that are coming out not on my album—for something else with Bring Me The Horizon. And then I have another collaboration with another friend of mine that’s coming out this year too, and I’m putting out so much music next year.”
A few weeks later, Oli Sykes teased what would be revealed as the cover of their next release, tagging Halsey among a slew of other artists. The following day, the band made good on the promise of “shorter records” by surprise-dropping Music to listen to with just days to spare in 2019. The album included the first of their collabs with the alt-pop vocalist, “¿,” as well as other songs with Lotus Eater, YONAKA and more.

Just as Halsey promised, the dream collabs didn’t stop there as her Birds Of Prey contribution “Experiment On Me” was released with production from BMTH’s Sykes and Jordan Fish.
Not ones to slow down, BMTH revealed they were planning to self-isolate and document their production amid the current coronavirus pandemic. Currently being referred to as “BMTH8” (suggesting Music to listen to was their seventh LP), the band have already given some legendary looks at pranking Sykes’ mom and a snippet of a new track.
