Brody Dalle (ex-Distillers, Spinnerette) announces debut solo album, 'Diploid Love'

Last week, ex-Distillers and Spinnerette frontwoman Brody Dalle unleashed a brand new solo single, “Meet The Foetus / Oh The Joy,” featuring Shirley Manson (of Garbage). On its heels, Dalle has announced the title and release date for her long-awaited full-length debut.

Called Diploid Love, the album will arrive April 28 through Caroline Records, and also features guest appearances from The Strokes' Nick Valensi, Queens Of The Stone Age's Michael Shuman, and Warpaint’s Emily Kokal. Diploid Love was co-produced by Alain Johannes (Jimmy Eat World, Arctic Monkeys) and Dalle herself, and recorded in Los Angeles.

Brody's last proper release was Spinnerette's eponymous full-length debut in 2009.

The singer has a handful of overseas dates planned over the next several months, including a tour of Australia and New Zealand with Nine Inch Nails and Queens Of The Stone Age. Check out her full routing, along with latest single “Meet The Foetus / Oh The Joy,”below.
