By Saturday, April 13 YouTube confirmed the music video broke the record for most-viewed 24 hour debut in the service's history!

The record was previously held by BLACKPINK's "Kill This Love" video which broke the record earlier this month. The K-pop group totaled 56.7 million views in 24 hours, breaking Ariana Grande's "Thank U, Next" record of 55.4 million views.

BTS debuted their first live performance of the track on last night's episode of Saturday Night Live, making history again as the first-ever South Korean musical guest to appear on the show.
