Original Munsters actor Butch Patrick signs on for Rob Zombie's reboot
Rob Zombie has shared yet another update for his The Munsters reboot. Butch Patrick, who played Eddie Munster in the original, will be returning for the film.
Zombie revealed the news via his Instagram, saying, “Well, I’ll tell you! My good buddy @the_real_butch_patrick_ is now in THE MUNSTERS as THE TIN CAN MAN. I am thrilled to have another original Munster in my new film. Get ready for some robot fun!”

The Tin Can Man originally appeared in episode seven of The Munsters as Eddie’s science fair project turned joke-telling robot.
While Patrick’s involvement with the film has been confirmed, there’s still the question of whether Eddie, the character he played nearly six decades ago, will make an appearance in the movie.
Other cast members of the upcoming adaptation include Richard Brake, Sylvester McCoy, Jorge Garcia, Catherine Schell, Cassandra “Elvira” Peterson and more.
There is currently no known release date for the reboot.
