Hanson, who doesn’t define her sexuality, uses “Fuck Your Labels” as a bold statement on how dynamic she is without having to apply a label to her. “Don’t blame me ’cause you’re unstable/Don’t judge me, no/Fuck your labels,” Hanson sings on the track.

“Fuck Your Labels” is emblematic of the powerful rage that permeates the new album. It’s full of energy and mixes pain with a forceful, defiant tone.

“Just don’t box me because I’m a million things,” Hanson says in her AltPress cover interview. “I can be who I want. I can say what I want. I just go with the flow of the river.”

As for the rest of the album, Hanson hopes listeners “rock out and cry and throw up all at the same time.”
