Carlie Hanson wants your favorite local artist to open a show on her upcoming tour
By now, Carlie Hanson fans have probably seen that the rising indie-pop artist is about to embark on her first-ever headlining tour later this month in anticipation of the release of her sophomore LP Wisconsin (out Mar.10). The Home is Where the Heart is Tour is set to kick off on Feb. 28 in San Francisco, CA, with support from Halo Boy, Sophie Powers, and Senses across select dates.
That’s not all, though. Yesterday, Hanson announced she’s also going to shake the tour up a bit, as she wants you or or your favorite local band or artist out to open the show for one night only in your respective city.
In a statement via her Instagram, the singer-songwriter revealed the exciting opportunity saying, “I [always] wanted to take this opportunity to allow local artists to join the show and play their music with us. I know from my own experience with being from a small town, there aren’t always a lot of resources to promote your music or to get your name out there, so, of course, I want to help out as much as I can.”
