Coachella 2023: Frank Ocean, BLACKPINK and Bad Bunny set to headline

Get ready to head back to the desert: Coachella just announced its massive 2023 lineup.

The major festival, which unofficially kicks off festival season, announced today that Bad Bunny, BLACKPINK, and Frank Ocean are set to headline the event, which is to be held in Indio, California the weekends of April 14-16 and April 21-23.

Aside from the headliners, major acts from across genres fill out the bill, including Alex G, a reunion of boygenius, the supergroup featuring Julien Baker, Phoebe Bridgers, and Lucy Dacus, Charli XCX, Dominic Fike, MUNA, Ethel Cain, Fousheé, WILLOW, Yves Tumor, Yaeji, and many others. This time around, only a handful of legacy acts like Björk, Blondie, and Gorillaz are set to play, and the headliners see ‘chella move toward including even more international lineups on the coveted top bill spot.

Perhaps most interesting, though, is the long-rumored Frank Ocean booking. The beloved R&B singer was supposed to headline the event in 2020, which was canceled due to the pandemic, and never made it on the bill in 2021 or 2022. This year, though, he’s confirmed to play, despite only releasing a handful of singles since 2016’s Blonde. Fingers crossed this means new music is on the way!
