Sept. 6 will see the release of Listen To Me: Buddy Holly, a tribute album in honor of the late singer/songwriter. While the tracklisting is stacked with classic-rock giants such as Brian Wilson, Stevie Nicks, Jeff Lynne and Ringo Starr, a handful of modern-rock and pop acts have snuck onto the comp as well, including Cobra Starship (pictured), Patrick Stump, the Fray and Zooey Deschanel. There is no word on which songs these artists will be covering yet, although it is worth noting that Deschanel also appeared on another Buddy Holly tribute, the recently released Rave On Buddy Holly, performing "Oh Boy" with her She & Him bandmate M. Ward.
