Conor Oberst announces new album, U.S. tour with Dawes, premieres "Hundreds Of Ways"

Conor Oberst (of Bright Eyes, Desaparecidos, Monsters Of Folk) has announced a new solo album, Upside Down Mountain, which will arrive May 20 via Nonesuch Records. Additionally, the singer has premiered a new single, “Hundreds Of Ways,” and has announced a U.S. tour with Dawes, who will open as well as act as Oberst's backing band.

“Hundreds Of Ways” is set to be released ahead of Upside Down Mountain as a limited-edition Record Store Day exclusive 7-inch single April 19, featuring album outtake “Fast Friends” as its b-side.

Upside Down Mountain, which was recorded in Nashville, Tenn. and produced by Jonathan Wilson, will include guest vocals from Swedish folk duo First Aid Kit. It marks Oberst's first full-length release under his own name (and without “The Mystic Valley Band” moniker) since his 2008 self-titled album.
