1. Overgrow release second single

Overgrow just released “No Rain,” the second song from their upcoming EP The House You Made. The song is a little sad and sorrow, dealing with grief and missing someone close to you that’s passed. The House You Made is out Nov. 9 via Common Ground Records.

2. Gardenside release new music video

Gardenside released their new EP Anything & Everything today along with a new video for “Bear On.” The music video takes a silent film approach to tell the story of vocalist Jeremy Harris’ anniversary with his partner Caitlyn. The EP is available for purchase now.

3. Ames releases a new Donnie Darko-inspired video

Previously writing for artists such as Kelly Clarkson, Adam Lambert and Rita Ora, Ames is breaking out on her own. For “Picture In My Mind,” Ames, with the help of other musicians, recorded a live performance of the song with a Donnie Darko twist. The performance was recorded at Mateo Sound studios—with everyone in costume, of course.

4. Sparrow Sleeps release an All-American Rejects lullabies album

We can’t be the only ones who hear All-American Rejects songs and think they’d be perfect in lullaby renditions. Now, those dreams can become reality thanks to Sparrow Sleeps’ latest release. The duo have covered everyone from Neck Deep to blink-182, and now they’re dropping a five-track album of AAR lullabies, titled Snooze Along. The album is available for purchase now.

5. Copeland share new song titled “Pope”

Copeland are back with a new song titled “Pope.” The band’s last full-length was 2015’s Ixora Twin. With abstract lyrics that aren’t to be taken literally, “Pope” leaves lots of room for fan interpretation. The band also announced plans to release a new album in early 2019, but no further details are currently available.

6. Love Jerks release new video for “Holding Out For a Rocker”

Love Jerks just released a new music video which takes place in a retirement home. In the video, the band dress like teenagers from the ’80s. The aesthetic of the video perfectly matches the track, which is Love Jerks’ favorite off the new album Million Movies. You can order the album now on the band’s website.

7. Sevendust release new music video for “Unforgiven”

Sevendust released a new music video set in in a gory dystopia. The song is off their latest effort, All I See Is War. The video is cinematic, directed by Scott Hansen (Decide, Whitechapel). Frontman Lajon Witherspoon says that working on the video was like “being in a movie for real.” You can buy All I See Is War now on the band’s website.

8. Currents release new song

Connecticut-bred metal act Currents just dropped the first single from their upcoming I Let The Devil In EP. The new single follows their 2017 full-length The Place I Feel Safest. The new EP will drop Dec. 14 via Sharptone Records and is available for preorder now.
