SONG MEANING AS TOLD BY FRONTMAN TYSON EVANS:

“I wrote this song as a means to convey the longing to escape the responsibility, stress and uncertainty of adulthood and the desire to let nostalgia take control. I hated high school, I hated my hometown, and at that time I so badly wanted to get out and take on my dreams more than anything. This song is me looking back on the simplicity that I took for granted between 16 and 20. This song is for the kids in the hot box. The kids breaking into abandoned buildings just to say they did. The kids making out in parked cars in supermarket parking lots at night. This song is for me at 16 just as much as it is for me at 25.”
