AskingAlexandria-2013

Danny Worsnop has left Asking Alexandria - UPDATED

Danny Worsnop has officially left his position as frontman for Asking Alexandria. He posted an official statement through his Twitter account (via Twitlonger), which you can read below.

To all of my friends and fans: I would like to let you know that Asking Alexandria and I are moving forward in separate ways. Over the last eight years together we've done some amazing things and created something truly special. I now, same as then, want what's best for the band and at this point in time, that isn't me. Asking Alexandria will continue to tour throughout the year and will be working on a new album. I will always support and love Asking Alexandria and cannot wait to see what the future holds for them. I am excited for the next chapter of my life with We Are Harlot and will see you all on the road!

UPDATE: AA guitarist Ben Bruce has responded, announcing the band will be playing Warped Tour with their new singer:

Worsnop originally joined Asking Alexandria in 2008, after founding member Ben Bruce reassembled the band with a new lineup. He sang on all three of the band's full-length albums: Stand Up and Scream (2009), Reckless & Relentless (2011) and From Death to Destiny (2013).

His new band, We Are Harlot, are set to release their self-titled debut full-length album on March 31 via Roadrunner Records. The band released a video for their latest single, “Dancing On Nails,” earlier this week, which you can view below.
