Dashboard Confessional team up with electronic trio Cash Cash for new song

Cash Cash—yep, the act that have toured with the likes of Metro Station, Boys Like Girls and Forever The Sickest Kids—have teamed up with Dashboard Confessional's Chris Carrabba for an infectious new single, “Belong.”

The music video for the song, which will also be featured on Dashboard Confessional's new album Crooked Shadows, features Cash Cash and Carrabba in a lighthearted spin on the ultimate super fan.

“'Belong' is a song I wrote about the freedom of a journey without aim,” Carrabba explains. “The magic in the mystery of life.”

The track features Carrabba's distinct vocals over a fluttering beat, and that Cash Cash drop makes the track.

“Making ‘Belong’ with Chris Carrabba was an incredible experience. Chris is a legendary songwriter whose powerful musical movement has undeniably herded the masses,” Cash Cash explain.

“Combining our different styles on ‘Belong’ was extremely fun. Being influenced by Dashboard ourselves made it very easy for us to dive into the idea, merge our genres together, and make a special unique song. It hands down (pun intended) turned out to be one of our favorite songs we’ve ever made.”
