Today, Mattel revealed that Barbie would be honoring David Bowie in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the legendary singer's "Space Oddity."

July 11 marks the anniversary of the track's UK release from his 1969 album by the same name.

The doll, dubbed 'Barbie as Bowie,' is dressed as Bowie's glam-rock alter ego Ziggy Stardust. Barbie dons the signature red hair, striped metallic "space suit," platform red boots and the sphere icon across her forehead.

Bowie-Barbie's description reads, "Introducing Barbie® as David Bowie. In a definitive celebration of two pop culture icons, Barbie® honors the ultimate pop chameleon, English singer, songwriter and actor, David Bowie, whose dramatic musical transformations continue to influence and inspire.

Mattel created the doll in partnership with the 2019 The David Bowie Archive.

Fans can purchase the doll starting today online via Mattel's website and at retailers nationwide for $50.
