DC Shoes debuts its first project with skateboarder Lucien Clarke

No one embodies DC quite like skate team rider and streetwear icon Lucien Clarke, who also serves as the beloved brand's creative director. For this month's collaboration, DC Shoes partnered with its very own CD for a rugged collection of OG skate silhouettes, debuting Clarke's eponymous brand DCV'87.

The Jamaican-born, London-bred creative has lived many lives, proving his talents off the board as a powerful force in streetwear and luxury fashion. This highly-personal collaboration, DC x DCV'87, is a tribute to Clarke's roots, and the dynamic intersection of style, performance, and fashion that brought him here.

Shot in Clarke's Jamaican birthplace alongside fellow DC and Palace skateboarder, Kanin Garner, and photographer Julian Klincewicz, the project introduces a rich and earthy collection that flexes the marriage of DC heritage and Clarke's Jamaican roots. The project delivers DCV'87 Lynx, a unique combination of a Lynx Zero upper and Lynx OG sole, which arrives in black and brown colorways with warm suede blocks.

After DC tapped Clarke in 2022, this first project highlights the combusting chemistry between DC's heritage and the skater's creative vision. "DCV'87 is the collaboration between my mind and skateboarding," Lucien says. "My brand really has no limits, never boxed in, only open-minded creativity."
