'Deadpool' reportedly banned in China

Deadpool is known for his crude humor, graphic moments and inappropriate behavior—they’re the building blocks of his widespread appeal. 

According to local reports, however, it’s those traits that have gotten the character’s latest film banned in China. Deadpool has been denied screening permission in the country due to violence, nudity and graphic language.

The Hollywood Reporter claims to have confirmed the news with a “source close to the decision at China Film Group.”

The 20th Century FOX-produced  film is set to debut in theaters elsewhere on Feb. 12.
