Dear You sign to the re-launched Third String Records

South By So What?! festival and Third String Productions founder Mike Ziemer has re-launched his record label and signed Dear You, a pop-punk trio from the Houston, TX area (named after Jawbreaker).

“I first fell in love with music while I was in high school. One of the biggest things I always noticed was the importance of the record label. For me, if Vagrant, Drive Thru, Epitaph, or Victory was putting it out back then, chances were I was going to love it. It was easy to have faith in those labels to sign awesome bands after all the great bands that made their labels well known. That sort of faith in a record label is what I want to bring to the scene with this new venture.” says Ziemer. He continues, “I decided it was time to bring back Third String Records and give running a record label another shot. My plan is to sign great bands that write great songs. I am not limiting the label to any genre or location.”

The band made a statement of their own, noting “We have signed to Third String Records, and are more than excited to finally be in a position to bring you all the music you want to hear, the content that you really want to see, and tour enough to meet ALL of you. Mike Ziemer and Third String Productions have been an amazing blessing to this band, and believe in us just as much as we believe in ourselves. We are incredibly happy to say we are the first band signed to Third String Records as their relaunch unfolds, and together we are going to bring you so many good things.”

Look out for a brand new single (“Castles”) on August 20, 2014 followed by the release of their new album in October 2014. For now, you can stream 2013's Faith, Fear, and Hope EP on Spotify:
