Death Cab For Cutie frontman storms off stage mid-song

Last night, Death Cab For Cutie hit the Charleston stop of their headlining tour with CHVRCHES. 

For all intents and purposes, it seemed like the night was going pretty well. Pitchfork reported that CHVRCHES vocalist Lauren Mayberry came out to perform early Death Cab track “Brothers On A Hotel Bed.”

Things went sour, though, when the band were midway through one of their earlier hits, “Soul Meets Body.”

Frontman Ben Gibbard violently throws his mic stand to the floor and walks offstage about 30 seconds into the video below. No word yet on exactly what caused the mini-tantrum.

Apparently the band came back onstage later and finished the set, because it's not Death Cab For Divas, right? Check out the video below.
