Metal band DED premiere the music video for “Dead To Me” off the band's upcoming album Mis-An-thrope, out July 21 on Suretone Records. The album was produced by John Feldmann (Disturbed, Blink-182, Beartooth).

“Lyrically, it's all about that internal struggle of being stuck in all the negative places from your past,” says lead singer Joe Cotela about “Dead To Me.” “Your mind can work like a film reel replaying bullshit over and over again to no end. It manifests physically and can really fuck you up. Often times we don't allow ourselves to exist in the present moment. In the song I'm not saying I'm literally going to kill anyone, it's more about being bulletproof and strong, taking on anything and anyone that tries to get in the way of being your best self. Don't be a dumbass, don't kill people.”

“This song for me is about using the resentment and aggression we hold onto from the past as something that empowers you,” Cotela adds. “Being wiser and stronger from it, not forgetting it happened but accepting it happened and finding peace with these demons through living a solid life. No better revenge than living life to the fullest!”

Ded's debut single “Anti-Everything” has been in the Top 15 Selling Rock Singles for 12 straight weeks, among other accolades. Check out the video for “Anti-Everything” here.
