Listen to Demi Lovato's resilient, pop-punk banger "Still Alive" off the Scream VI soundtrack

It looks like we have another Scream queen on our hands — and it’s none other than pop-rock icon Demi Lovato.

Today, the pop star’s original contribution to the Scream VI soundtrack, “Still Alive,” dropped. The track arrives a week before the latest installment in the horror franchise, starring Jenna Ortega, Melissa Barrera, Courteney Cox, and others, hits theaters.

The song, which was produced by Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park, is a pop-punk banger all about carrying on while feeling like you’re living through hell — much like the residents of Woodsboro have had to do with Ghostface for years. On the track, they wail horror-inspired lyrics like, “I’m still alive/I don’t wanna just survive/Give me something to sink all my teeth in/Eat my devil and spit out the demons.”

The track marks Lovato’s first all-new release since last year’s hit record HOLY FVCK. The song arrived along with a Scream-inspired music video, which finds the pop star fighting off Ghostface himself.
