Desaparecidos to release first new album in 13 years

Desaparecidos, fronted by Conor Oberst, have announced that they will release their first new album in 13 years, Payola, on June 23. Listen to the effort's lead single, “City on the Hill,” over at Pitchfork, or give it a spin below. Be sure to leave us a comment with your thoughts.

Payola follows the band's sole album, Read Music/Speak Spanish, which was released in 2002. Pre-orders for the LP are on sale now.

The band will be playing both weekends of Coachella and a slew of tour dates in April alongside Brand New, Built to Spill, Joyce Manor and Touche Amore.
