Details, release date announced for iPhone 6S, several other upcoming Apple products

Today, during their event at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco, Apple unveiled a lot of new products, details, release dates, price points and more. Most notably, the company introduced the newest addition to their popular line of iPhones with the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus. The new and improved model will feature 3D touch, an upgraded 12MP iSight back camera that shoots 4K video, new finishes and more. The iPhone 6S and 6S Plus will be up for pre-order on Saturday, September 12 with the devices launching on September 25. Prices will start at $199 and $299 respectively for the two smartphones.

Furthermore, Apple unveiled an iPhone upgrade plan that will allow users to get each new model of the phone as it's released annually. The plan will include an unlocked phone and AppleCare+, starting at $32 a month, as seen below via TechCrunch.

Beyond their phone line, Apple released info on their fourth gen Apple TV which will feature a new app store, a remote control with touch pad and motion control, and a new OS. It will be available in two models—a 32GB standard model for $149 and a 64GB model for $199—and will begin shipping in October. 

An iPad Pro was also revealed which will feature a 12.9″ screen and 2,732 x 2,048 display, starting at $799 for the 32GB model. Other features include an 8MP iSight camera and a new A9X chip that’s reportedly 1.8x faster than the previously used A8. Accessory options will include an Apple iPad keyboard for $169, which bears a striking resemblance to Microsoft's Surface keyboard. There's also an Apple Pencil for $99 which is a stylus for the iPad. It's apparently extremely precise and will be available this November. As to whether it will be compatible with older model iPads is currently unknown.

Lastly, Apple skimmed over their new iPad Mini 4 which now boasts the same power as the iPad Air, and they revealed some Apple Watch details like new bands and finishes.
