Don Broco are starting off our 2019 right with new music, and we’re excited. The band debuted the new track “Half Man Half God” on the Annie Mac show on BBC Radio 1 last night, and is now available on streaming.

“This is a song about celebrity in the age of the internet,” frontman Rob Damiani said in an interview (per Kerrang!). “People don’t just want to admire their idols from afar, they want to know everything about them. Every waking moment, every thought and feeling, every hope and fear.”

“These days we want our celebrities human,” he continues. “We don’t want mystery, we don’t want airbrushing, we want real, we want full access, we want communication, and most importantly we want selfies.”

The song is the first since 2018’s Technology, which we considered one of the best albums of the year. Could this mean there’s a new album on the way?

We don’t know yet if the song will be part of a new album the band is working on, or if it’s a standalone single. Either way, we’re excited.

Don Broco are currently on tour in Europe, and in February they’re going on the road in the UK with Neck Deep and Issues.
