Donald Trump says Taylor Swift "doesn't know anything" about Marsha Blackburn
President Donald Trump doesn’t like Taylor Swift and music as much anymore after the singer shared political opinions on a lengthy Instagram post this weekend.

On Oct. 7, Swift took to Instagram to break her political silence and voice her opinion on the importance of voting on November 6 and open up about who she’s voting for.
The singer was criticized by former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee, who said her stance “won’t impact election unless we allow 13 yr old girls to vote.”
Earlier today, Paramore‘s Hayley Williams took to Twitter to defend the pop star.
“Here we have a man in power mocking a woman’s value and impact out of what I can only assume is fear,” Williams tweeted. “not fear of an election result but fear of a powerful woman [whose] power he now realizes he can not benefit from.”
Hayley also followed her initial comment with some more tweets.
“And who in their right mind underestimates a 13 year old girl anyway?!!” she asks. “who publicly mock a woman’s political standings by dubbing an entire generation powerless?”
However, Huckabee isn’t the only politician unhappy with Swift’s opinion. President Donald Trump also weighed in on the singer’s post during a press conference at the White House.
Trump defended Marsha Blackburn, who Swift criticized on her post, shares the Hollywood Reporter. Not only that, but he pointed out his interest in Swift’s music has decreased after the message.
“Marsha Blackburn is doing a very good job now in Tennessee,” the president said. “She’s leading now substantially, which she should. She’s a tremendous woman.”
“I’m sure Taylor Swift doesn’t know anything about her,” he continued. “Let’s say I like Taylor’s music about 25 percent less now, OK?”
Swift breaks her silence
Swift broke her longstanding political silence with a message against Republican Marsha Blackburn’s run for a U.S. Senate seat. Additionally, she explained who she’s voting for and why.
“I’m writing this post about the upcoming midterm elections on November 6th, in which I’ll be voting in the state of Tennessee,” Swift writes. “I always have and always will cast my vote based on which candidate will protect and fight for the human rights I believe we all deserve in this country.”
“I believe in the fight for LGBTQ rights, and that any form of discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender is WRONG,” she continues. “I believe that the systemic racism we still see in this country towards people of color is terrifying, sickening and prevalent.”
Swift was reluctant to voice her political opinions in the past. However, she’s now sharing her support for Democrats Phil Bredesen and Jim Cooper.
“please educate yourself on the candidates running in your state and vote based on who most closely represents your values,” she pleas. “For a lot of us, we may never find a candidate or party with whom we agree 100% on every issue, but we have to vote anyway.”
