Empty drop "Temporary High" video ahead of upcoming album 'Made Of Fire'
Alt-rock group Empty have released a new video for their song “Temporary High.” The track comes ahead of their sophomore full-length, Made Of Fire.
“Temporary High” is a catchy anthem about relationships where you keep going back to someone even though you know they’re bad for you. The band detailed their inspiration for the song.

“‘Temporary High’ is about a toxic, on-again, off-again relationship where you both know you bring out the worst in each other but keep coming back together trying to make it work,” the band say. “It’s always good in the beginning and feels so right. But inevitably, you both know in the back of your minds [that] the relationship is destined for failure.”
The track will appear on Empty’s upcoming sophomore album, Made Of Fire, out Oct. 22 via Solid State Records. The album follows their debut, Hope And The Loss Of It, and showcases their growth as a group, both sonically and emotionally. Combining influences of pop, screamo, ’00s rock, metalcore and more, Made Of Fire will take fans through a journey filled with emotions such as heartbreak and hopelessness.
