Everything we know about the Foo Fighters breakup rumors
Rumors of Foo Fighters’ impending demise began with a report by the New York Post’s Page Six. The piece claims tensions between frontman Dave Grohl and drummer Taylor Hawkins have risen to a point where the band are currently taking a “break.”

A source reportedly offered Page Six the following comment: “The band [are] billing it as a ‘break,’ but it’s totally Dave going solo, and Taylor is pissed about it.”
Grohl’s recent Oscar performance was supposedly the gateway to his solo career.

On the contrary, however, a representative for the band has reportedly told Entertainment Weekly that all breakup rumors are “utterly ridiculous.”
Early this morning, the band tweeted, “Official band announcement tomorrow night. Stay tuned.”

While, in the past, Grohl has been adamant that Foo Fighters aren’t going anywhere, Hawkins recently told Billboard that the band have “nothing on the books” for 2016. He added that he plans to focus on his cover band, Chevy Metal.
