Ex-As I Lay Dying guitarist says new Wovenwar album has "a lot more screaming"
Ex-As I Lay Dying guitarist Phil Sgrosso has revealed that Wovenwar’s sophomore album takes a “heavier, meaner” direction than their debut, and features “a lot more screaming,” (via MetalSucks).
Speaking with the Into The Combine Podcast, he admits they wanted to take a more rock-friendly route on the first record.

Things are a little different this time around, however. “I think we’re [now] going back to just heavier, meaner [music], but still a lot of melody in the vocals; a lot of melody in the guitars; drums are very driving.”
He later adds, “[And there’s] a lot more screaming.” You can listen to the podcast in full here. Sgrosso's other band, Poison Headache, will release their debut album on June 2 via Metal Blade. (Pre-orders are on sale now.)
