Ex-Burden Of A Day members launch Colours with Victory Records signing

Comprised of ex-Burden Of A Day members Kyle Tamo (vocals) and Morgan Alley (drums), Sarasota, Florida's Colours have signed to Victory Records to release their full-length debut, titled Ivory, on February 26, 2016. Having tapped Shaun Lopez (††† Crosses, Deftones) to produce, the lead single from the forthcoming effort boasts a huge sound with dark tones and pulsating electronics serving as the foundation for smooth R&B vocals reminiscent of Abel Tesfaye's (the Weeknd). You can experience the first taste of the new album below in the cinematic video for “Monster,” (via Diffuser).

“Having only two members in COLOURS offers us a unique and advantageous opportunity when creating,” says Tamo, speaking on the project. “When too many people are working on a creative project, often personal preferences and risk have to be diluted for compromise.” In regards to working with Lopez on the record, Alley adds, “Shaun has a great ear for tone. He was able to listen to the songs we created, understand the direction and breathe life into them.”

Pre-orders for Ivory are available now through Victory Records' webstore. Let us know what you think of the new material from Colours.
