This Fall Out Boy and Black Eyed Peas mashup works better than it should

If you ever wondered what it would sound like if Fall Out Boy and Black Eyed Peas formed a band, look no further.

After recently releasing a mashup of “Master Of Puppets” by Metallica and My Chemical Romance‘s “Welcome To The Black Parade,” YouTuber William Maranci is back with another mashup.

This week, Maranci has taken two iconic songs from Fall Out Boy and Black Eyed Peas for his latest creation. With the instrumental track from Black Eyed Peas’ “Let’s Get It Started – Spike Mix” and the vocals of Fall Out Boy’s Patrick Stump on “Dance, Dance,” “Dance, Dance But Let’s Get It Started” is a mashup we didn’t know we needed until now. The mashup also includes the iconic “Dance, Dance” bassline and opening guitar riffs.

Maranci took to the description section of the video to share what band he thinks the mashup truly sounds like. “I love Maroon 5,” he shares.

Listeners in the video’s comments section were quick to agree with the similar sound of the mashup and the Adam Levine-led band.

“Dance, Dance” is taken from Fall Out Boy’s 2015 album From Under The Cork Tree. “Let’s Get It Started – Spike Mix” is off of the 2003 Black Eyed Peas album Elephunk.

Take a listen to the mashup and let us know what you think of it in the comments below!

For Fall Out Boy, 2020 is not shaping up to be quite the year they were expecting. Fall Out Boy, Weezer and Green Day were getting ready for the European leg of their Hella Mega tour in June. However, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, it was announced that the first five shows of the European leg have been postponed. This news follows the postponement of the Asian run of the tour this past February.

In an interview Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz gave earlier this week, he shared that the bands are unsure about the remaining dates of the Hella Mega tour. The North American and Australian dates are still scheduled to happen this summer and fall.

The list of postponed European dates and remaining scheduled dates is below.
