As The Irish Times reports, thousands of people attended the public reposing of O’Riordan, with Limerick county beginning three days of mourning for “one of their most famous daughters.”

They report that fans from all around the world, including Spain and China, came to pay their respects to the artist. Her body was laid in an open coffin at St. Joseph’s Church, a tradition normally used only for “Presidents, Popes and heads of State.”

The church played some of the singer’s greatest hits while mourners remembered the late artist.

The local news source say her funeral is set to take place this Tuesday.

O'Riordan died in London at the age of 46. “Family members are devastated to hear the breaking news and have requested privacy at this very difficult time,” her publicist explained at the time of her passing.

The Cranberries rose to international fame in the '90s with the release of their debut album, Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can't We?, featuring one of their biggest singles, “Linger.”

Our thoughts are with O'Riordan's family and loved ones at this time.
