Fearless Vampire Killers auctioning first edition sample copy of their debut novel for charity

Fearless Vampire Killers are currently auctioning a recently unearthed and “scrawled on” first-edition sample copy of vocalist/guitarist Laurence Beveridge’s debut novel Ruple And Evelyn. Ten percent of the sales proceeds go to the Laura Crane Youth Cancer Trust, a U.K.-based charity, which funds research for cancers that affect 13-24 year old patients.

At post time, the current bid on the test copy, which contains original notes from Beveridge and will be signed by the band, is £210 ($321). It will remain up for auction on eBay until June 10.

Ruple And Evelyn test print - Fearless Vampire KillersThe novel, which is the second story in the band’s Grandomina///Codex saga, is set in the 17th century and follows the lives of the fourth generation of Vane kings through the sometimes otherworldly trials they face as they fight for, cultivate and leave their mark on their alternate London—Grandomina.

While the book is currently sold out on FVK’s webstore, those interested can still read it digitally with a subscription to the band’s social network The Obsidian Bond, which also hosts digital versions of Beveridge’s second novel Militia Of The Lost, the yet-unprinted story of Unbreakable Hearts, which accompanies their sophomore album, plus other short stories that contextualize the band’s oeuvre.

Those who wish to contribute to the Laura Crane Youth Cancer Trust can donate or find other ways to help on their website.
