12 times bands were featured as 'Jeopardy!' clues

QUIZ: How well do you know band logos?
A few times, stars from our scene have made it to the big leagues—being featured as a Jeopardy! clue. As you might expect, the contestants often don't fare too well against emo bands.

Just a couple weeks ago, Jimmy Eat World were featured as the answer to a clue referencing their smash single, “The Middle.”
Slayer made it just a few days ago as the answer to a clue that also paid homage to some other metal legends.

Fall Out Boy…three times
Fall Out Boy have no shortage of Jeopardy! clue appearances. Check them all out:

The rock band made an appearance as an answer in the college edition of Jeopardy! Skip to about one minute in to hear the clue.
It breaks our hearts, but no one answered this clue correctly. Don't worry—we're still into you, Paramore!

Contestants also couldn't pull through for this Kurt Vile-themed clue back in 2016.
Along with the television show, the Jeopardy! Twitter account occasionally tweets out show-style questions for followers to answer. Gym Class Heroes were featured in this one back in 2012:

Brandon Flowers was the answer to this Killers-themed question in the Lead Singers category.
Plus a whole lot of emo
My Chemical Romance, Panic! At The Disco and Dashboard Confessional have all had shoutouts that lead contestants to the answer—”What is emo?” (That's a loaded question…)
