15 artists who would perfectly soundtrack Marvel's Phases 4 and 5

From the rock anthems that followed us through Iron Man to the timeless classics we danced to with Baby Groot in Guardians Of The Galaxy, Marvel has given us incredible soundtracks to coincide with their phenomenal movies. However, with the next phase of the MCU underway, we couldn’t help but think about how things could be a tiny bit better if some bands and artists from our scene were recruited for the next era.

Check out who we’d like to see soundtrack some of Marvel’s Phase 4 and 5 releases below.

Waterparks – Loki

Marvel has many incredible and highly anticipated shows heading to Disney+ over the course of Phase 4 and 5. Following the ever-impressive WandaVision and action-packed The Falcon And The Winter Soldier series, Loki will debut June 9, with new episodes releasing every Wednesday. There’s no one better to soundtrack the God of Mischief than Alternative Press’ May cover stars, Waterparks

Halestorm – Black Widow

Fans have been anxiously awaiting a Black Widow solo film ever since she entered the MCU franchise during Iron Man 2. Now, despite several release date pushbacks, the premiere is just around the corner. With a villain whose actor has yet to be officially revealed (got to love those Marvel secrets), there are high expectations riding on this long-awaited film. The only way it could possibly get any better would be to add Halestorm to the soundtrack. After all, badass women have to stick together.

New Found Glory – Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3

The first two Guardians Of The Galaxy films really set the bar high in regards to Marvel soundtracks, bringing in timeless classics that everyone can enjoy. Obviously, we’d expect nothing different from the third volume. However, adding a bit of timeless pop punk to the mix would definitely take things to the next level. We don’t know about you, but we can definitely picture Star-Lord rocking out to New Found Glory’s “My Friends Over You.”

STARSET – Eternals

A band whose entire fictional backstory centers around astronomy and space, STARSET are the obvious choice to soundtrack the forthcoming MCU film Eternals. After all, the band released their own graphic novel produced by Marvel Comics in 2017. It seems that adding them to a Marvel film soundtrack would be the next logical step.

remy – Black Panther: Wakanda Forever

There are many questions stemming from the forthcoming film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. After Chadwick Boseman’s heartbreaking death, many are wondering who will take the Black Panther mantle. The film is sure to be overwhelming and extremely emotional. Who better to embody those feelings than Hopeless Records’ latest signee, remy?

Marianas Trench – Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness

Marianas Trench fans know the theatrics and incredible masterpieces this band are capable of. From Astoria to Phantoms, Marianas Trench are able to create totally immersive worlds for listeners to enjoy. If we’re going to enter multiple universes during this next Doctor Strange film, we’d love nothing more than for Marianas Trench to get us there.

Meet Me @ The Altar – Hawkeye

The forthcoming Disney+ miniseries Hawkeye is slated for release toward the end of this year. It’s even rumored to take place after the events of Avengers: Endgame. The series is expected to introduce Clint Barton’s so-called protege Kate Bishop, so obviously, the soundtrack needs to match the introduction of another badass female superhero. Cue Meet Me @ The Altar.

HALLIE – Ironheart

In Ironheart, super-intelligent teenage tech prodigy Riri Williams will step into the MCU as a type of next-gen Iron Man. Paying ode to the original movies, this soundtrack needs to exude badass confidence. Up-and-coming songwriter/producer/multi-instrumentalist HALLIE is well suited to take the reins. Her catchy hooks and attention-grabbing lyrics would be a perfect soundtrack addition to this Disney+ series.

BABYMETAL – Thor: Love And Thunder

If you ask us, the Thor films have some of the most underrated soundtracks. This Marvel series in particular offers epic fight scenes as well as some incredibly emotional moments. Talk about your highest highs and your lowest lows. We expect nothing less with this next installment, so imagine a next-level fight scene soundtracked by BABYMETAL. It would add that extra bit of thunder to Thor: Love And Thunder

My Chemical Romance – Blade

OK, hear us out. Marvel surprised fans during 2019’s SDCC by giving us a glimpse at what’s beyond Phase 4. One movie announcement that genuinely shocked fans in the best way: Blade. Not much is known about the movie’s details other than it will introduce the day-walking, half-vampire into the MCU. If Marvel is going to give us a movie about a vampire and they don’t include My Chemical Romance, then they will have seriously missed out on an epic opportunity.

YUNGBLUD – Spider-Man: No Way Home

The most relatable (and lovable) thing about Marvel’s Spider-Man is that he’s still your typical high schooler dealing with everyday teen problems. At the same time, he’s in a position to lead his generation and fight for something bigger than himself, much like YUNGBLUD, who’s inspiring his fans to change the world. Adding YUNGBLUD to the Spider-Man: No Way Home soundtrack would solidify everything these icons stand for.

Conquer Divide – The Marvels

Originally announced as Captain Marvel 2, the second installment has now snagged the official title of The Marvels. It’s believed to be a continuation of the forthcoming Disney+ series Ms. Marvel and a sequel to Captain Marvel. Featuring Carol Danvers (Captain Marvel), Monica Rambeau and Kamala Khan (Ms. Marvel), this female powerhouse film requires an equally powerful soundtrack. We can’t think of anyone better to lead the soundtrack than Conquer Divide, who are known for their intense and anthemic songs.

Fall Out Boy – Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania

The fact that the official title for Ant-Man 3 sounds like a Fall Out Boy song title is just one of many reasons the band should be featured on the film’s soundtrack. After all, Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania is a mouthful. If that’s not enough for you, the film’s working title is Dust Bunny, which we firmly believe could also pass as a FOB song or album title.

Against The Current – Fantastic Four

With previous Fantastic Four movies coming up short, fans are a bit wary of how this Phase 5 film will pan out. However, Marvel has been on a roll with mind-blowing movies, keeping that glimmer of hope alive in us all. To cement that hope, Marvel should really consider pulling in Against The Current for the film’s soundtrack. They already have the experience of creating “Legends Never Die” for the 2017 League Of Legends World Championship. Why not add a Marvel movie soundtrack to their list of accomplishments?

Halsey – Ms. Marvel

From encouraging self-confidence and empowerment to sticking up and speaking out for those who need it most, Halsey is practically a real-life superhero. So who better to bring the Ms. Marvel soundtrack to life than her? The forthcoming Disney+ series is scheduled to debut later this year. It’s also rumored to consist of six episodes while setting up fans for The Marvels.
