Halsey

Halsey has a handful of playlists she’s made on Spotify, with one of the best titled “to be loved.” This mix features tracks that take on different perspectives of relationships and is filled with emotional songs by Panic! At The Disco, PVRIS, Tegan And Sara and more.

The 1975

The 1975 are known for releasing music that seems to understand our emotions better than we do, especially when we’re feeling down. The same goes for playlists that the band have made, including one titled “At your heaviest.” It boasts ambient and all-encompassing tracks made for deep thinking. If this is what the band listen to while digging deep at their emotions to create songs, it’s good enough for us.

Paramore

Paramore have never been shy about giving credit to the artists who have inspired and influenced them along the way. In 2017, the band created a Spotify playlist for all of the music they were listening to when making After Laughter. It contains throwback ’80s tracks and modern alt and indie songs that will make you want to groove.

Post Malone

If you’re in search of a new rap playlist, check out “posty’s playlist” on Spotify featuring songs from Post Malone himself and other current rappers such as Lil Uzi Vert, Swae Lee and more. The entire playlist spans over five hours, so it’s great for when you need some hype music and don’t want to think about making your own mix.

YUNGBLUD

YUNGBLUD is another artist who’s always vocal about his music taste, from British rock to modern-day emo rap. In his Spotify playlist called “A RARE MOMENT OF CHILL,” YUNGBLUD has created a mixtape for you to sit back, relax and unwind. He features artists including himself, Billie Eilish, All Time Low and more. The variety is sure to have a little something for everyone.

Melanie Martinez

Melanie Martinez has mastered the art of creating a universe not only with her albums but with everything that accompanies them, including background stories, characters and more. To help reinforce the personality of her character Cry Baby, she made the “Pity Party Playlist.” It’s filled with songs her character would play at a party, including cuts by Troye Sivan, Grimes, Rihanna and more. Honestly, it fits Martinez’s entire vibe.

The Maine

A few years back, the Maine frontman John O’Callaghan curated a short and sweet mixtape on Spotify featuring everything from classic-rock tracks to up-and-coming indie bands. It’s a great soundtrack for an hour-long drive or when you just don’t want to think about queuing up a custom playlist for yourself.
